What is reporting?

Reporting is the process of collecting, analyzing, and presenting company data in the form of periodic reports. It allows management to track business progress, identify gaps against objectives, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Types of Business Reports

  • Sales report: Sales by period, customer, product, or salesperson.
  • Financial report: Income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Inventory report: Value, turnover, and movements over a period.
