What is a delivery note?

The delivery note (DN) is a document accompanying goods during delivery. It attests to the physical transfer of goods from seller to buyer and serves as the basis for issuing the final invoice. In Algeria, the delivery note is essential to justify stock movements during tax audits.

Role of the Delivery Note in the Commercial Chain

  • Proof of delivery: Customer signature confirming receipt of goods.
  • Stock update: Automatic triggering of stock outflow at the seller's end.
  • Billing basis: Conversion of the delivery note into an invoice in the management system.
  • Dispute management: Reference in case of dispute over quantities received.

GestiumPRO allows delivery notes to be generated directly from customer orders and converted into invoices in a single click.
